The Cosmic Cardinal Cross was taught in New Orleans starting from 1958. The following affirmation was written by the woman who first used the Cosmic Cardinal Cross and who established the Bodhi Sala community.

The Community
of the
Cosmic Cardinal Cross
There are many who live and breathe the Cosmic Cardinal Cross and they form the Bodhi Sala community.
Bodhi Sala is a sacred place of wisdom on a higher plane where the Lotus meets the Rose. People in that community are known as Bodhisalaists.
The members of that community lead many different kinds of lives, but all aspire to be a living Cosmic Cardinal Cross. They live by principles for a self-governing community of free people, and base their lives on a positive ethic of compassion, goodwill, harmony, co-operation and wisdom. There is no ideological rigidity of practice and no obsessive compulsive set of codified rules for day to day living.
The resulting human character is one based on principle and self knowledge, that is results oriented while knowing moderation, that is socially graceful, connected and networked, and able to relate to people well.
Principles of the
Cosmic Cardinal Cross Community
The potential for fulfillment of the individual in a community of free people is not an idealistic dream, but realizable by focused learning, practice and experience which produces the benefits for oneself, for others and for society as a whole. It takes a peaceful mind, unattached and open with awareness of the laws of reciprocity. Those benefits are material, emotional, mental and spiritual.
There are basic fundamental behaviors for individuals for the community to succeed.
The best beginning in life is to be surrounded by people who are well meaning and supportive. They provide wisdom and good examples. They show you the discipline for developing in life. There is no better basis for future growth. Whatever the relationship from family or friends or business associates, the characteristics of the best people around you are the same: watching out for you and your belongings and goals, helping you do good and restraining you from doing bad, helping you succeed and keeping you from ruin, showing you what is new and better, commiserating and celebrating with you in your life, and defending you even to the point of laying down their own life.
Life has a similar pattern for most people when life is peaceful and prosperous. They hope to succeed in their family tradition, earn a living, have a place in society, marry and raise a family successfully. The kind of relationships in life are a similar polarity for most people. Sorted astrologically, there is a natural polarity in life, and a balance to keep based on ethics, appropriate behavior and goodwill.
There are different ways of measuring success in life.

Death: It is better when someone is dying for there to be someone helping them stay focused for the best outcome when the spirit leaves the body. Sometimes keening in the musical key of the person’s ruling planet or astrological sign helps the spirit. After death, leave the body untouched for three days, and then burn it. In those three days, the spirit extracts itself from the clinging of the lower material animal and vegetative self. For a Bodhisalaist, a lifetime of being a living breathing Cosmic Cardinal Cross means having the strength of mind and mental imagery to keep the life force focused above the shoulders, above the level of the horizontal base of the triangle to exit out the top of the head when the moment comes to leave the body in the chaos of death.
